If you’re like me and are a little bit over making loaves & banana bread...try out these tasty bagels! They have been making our apartment smell so delicious & feel all warm and cosy 🥰
INGREDIENTS:
2 cup Bakers flour
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp Instant Dry Yeast
3/4 cup water
Plant milk & seeds to glaze
Method:
1. Sift flour, salt and add yeast in a large mixing bowl. Add in the water and knead together until a dough is formed.
2. Once it feels elastic, cover with a damp towel or cling film an leave in the sun for 2+ hours (until it doubles in size!)
3. Pre heat the oven to 190 degrees and boil a large pot of water.
4. Divide the dough into four and roll into balls. (You could also make more/mini ones).
5. Pinch a hole in the middle of each round and turn it around in your hands until a bagel type shape is formed.
6. Place the bagels into the pot of boiling water one at a time. Leaving to sit for 40 seconds on each side before placing on a lined baking tray. Repeat for all 4 bagels.
7. Brush the top with oat milk and press with your choice of seed. Could be poppy seed, sesame seed or pumpkin seeds.
