Ingredients
1 block tofu
1/3 cup cornstarch
Orange glaze sauce:
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp apple cider
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp crushed ginger
1/2 tsp crushed garlic
1 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp water
Zest of an orange
To serve:
White rice
Spring onion
Sesame seeds
Method:
1. Toss tofu chunks in cornstarch and set aside.
2. Add all sauce ingredients into a saucepan. Stir and heat until bubbling.
3. In a small bowl, add cornstarch and water, whisking to combine. Add the mix to the sauce, and stir well. Leave for 5 mins to thicken.
4. Once the sauce is thickened, add orange zest and turn heat off.
5. Take a large frypan and add a generous dash of sesame oil. Fry tofu until crispy, around 5 minutes.
6. Add tofu to the orange sauce and serve on white rice, with spring onion and sesame seeds.
